Sometimes, depending on the circumstances surrounding the Caesarean the first time, a repeat Caesarean may be the best choice for the mother, if the same circumstances still exist during her second pregnancy.
I didn't want a repeat c-section because the recovery was brutal vs. my vaginal delivery experience. However, after talking to 5 girlfriends who had scheduled 2nd c-sections, they said the recovery was 10x better. Maybe your body remembers and adjusts to the pain/healing. Also, if you labor and get a c-section together it makes recovery tougher. My doctor explained that's probably why I had a tougher time - never thought of that.
